A Guide to Graphic Novels

This is a resource for librarians looking to learn more about graphic novels; I hope you find useful information to assist you in readers' advisory and/or collection development. There certainly is information and reviews here that fans (and soon-to-be-fans) would also find helpful and interesting.

Graphic novels and Manga (Japanese graphic novels) offer everything that conventional novels do, from action, adventure, romance, mystery, historical fiction, memoir, fantasy, science fiction and more. Every genre covered in "conventional literature" has also been done in graphic novel form, only with pictures and words working together to create a compelling story.
